Dupont Pools Win Dealer Pool Profile Spring 2024

This remarkable pool project began in 2022, with Dupont Pools, renowned pool installers in Wanaka, taking on the unique challenge of installing a sleeper pool. The homeowner’s residence had to be built around the pool, requiring meticulous planning and coordination from the outset. The pool’s construction journey spanned nearly two years, showcasing the dedication and care that went into every aspect of the build.

Dupont Pools worked hand in hand with the architect and builders from day one to ensure every detail was executed to perfection. The result? A breathtaking pool that seamlessly integrates into the home’s design, with the living room cantilevering over the water, creating a stunning visual connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The pool combination chosen for this project was The Reflection with Auto Cover 9.90m in Silver Grey. This innovative pool design features an automatic swimming pool cover, offering enhanced prevention from debris contaminating the water, keeping it cleaner for longer. A variation of The Reflection, it includes a full-length bench/seating option, providing a perfect spot for relaxation while enjoying the surrounding view. Additionally, the pool is equipped with a built-in cover box, adding an extra layer of safety and security. The stunning Silver Grey colour was selected for its natural, beachside feel—offering soft, balanced tones within a lighter grey background. This shade beautifully mimics the pristine waters of coastal environments, creating a serene, inviting atmosphere around the pool.

One of the standout features of this project was the construction of a pump shed located discreetly beneath the pool, ensuring a sleek, unobtrusive appearance. This thoughtful design choice helped maintain the pool’s sophisticated aesthetic while keeping all technical elements neatly out of sight.

Another highlight was the custom-fabricated cover lid designed to support a tile-clad lid and a raised platform for sun loungers, providing both practicality and elegance. This attention to detail not only enhanced the overall look but also maximised the functionality of the space, making it a perfect place for relaxation.
